for this project, nothing but good old premium quality rust-oleum!
(because if those fire sprinklers over my cube ever go off I don't
want my custom designed and built space frame to rust.)

the weekend that I finally got around to doing the painting on was unfortunately
a bit chilly and cold. I kept watching the temperature and when the sun finally
broke out and warmed things up a bit I went to town.

and another fine rust-oleum product from the garden color collection.

the sun was starting to get low in the sky and I hoped everything was dry enough.

after dinner I packed everything up into the back of my car. the two long pieces
were stuck through the ski pass thru in the rear seat of my Honda Accord. I was
pretty worried about the paint not being completely dry so wrapped everything
in news paper and a few towels to keep the parts from banging together.
